Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how Cachet Careers works, what it costs, and what happens to your information.

What does Cachet Careers do?

Cachet Careers compares your resume with a job description. It breaks the job description into specific requirements and checks each one as a yes or no question: either your resume shows evidence for it or it doesn't. You get a match score and the evidence behind each check.

This is Cachet's assessment of how the information in your resume matches this job description. It is not an employer's score or a probability of getting hired. Potential scores depend on truthful evidence you can provide. Review AI suggestions for accuracy before using them.

What is a credit, and what costs what?

Credits pay for features in the Service. Grading a resume against one job description costs 1 credit. Rewrite Mode costs 3 credits for a guided Cici interview that produces suggested resume edits. Loading 25 additional jobs costs 1 credit; that credit is returned if no new jobs are found. Re-grading costs 1 credit after the included first free re-grade. Auto-mode grading costs 1 credit per resume graded. Other actions may also require credits. Before you confirm an action, we show its credit cost; for an auto-mode batch, we show the number of resumes and the total credit cost before you authorize the batch. These charges remain subject to the protections for existing purchased credits in Section 10.

Prices for each credit pack are on the Pricing page.

Do new accounts get free credits?

A new account starts with 5 credits at no cost.

What does Cici do, and what does Rewrite Mode cost?

Cici is the coach inside Cachet. Our Terms of Service (Section 2) describe it this way: Cici uses AI to ask questions about gaps and suggest resume edits based on your answers.

Rewrite Mode costs 3 credits. They are charged when you save your updated resume. If you leave before saving, nothing is charged.

What does Andy do?

Andy helps you find job openings when you set up your account. You tell Andy what kind of role you want, keep the job titles that fit, and Andy loads matching openings into your Jobs list. That first set of jobs is free. Loading more jobs later costs 1 credit, and the credit is returned if no new jobs are found.

Will Cachet write things on my resume that I didn't do?

Cici suggests edits based on the answers you give. You decide what goes on your resume, and it's your job to keep it accurate. Our Terms of Service (Section 3) say: Do not add invented skills, credentials, employment, dates, accomplishments, or metrics to a resume.

What happens to my resume file?

For account resume uploads, your browser extracts the resume text from the file. We do not upload or store the original resume file on our servers. We store the parsed resume data used to provide the Service, along with related grades, edited resume content, and coaching records.

Anthropic processes resume text, job descriptions, and relevant coaching answers to support parsing, scoring, and resume suggestions.

How long we keep these records is described in our Privacy Policy.

Who sees my resume and my grades?

Other users can't see your resumes or grades. Authorized staff can access account data when needed for support, to fix errors, or to carry out a request you make.

Anthropic processes resume text, job descriptions, and relevant coaching answers to support parsing, scoring, and resume suggestions. We provide information to these services as needed for their functions. We do not sell personal information or resume content.

The full details are in our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

You can view and manage your resumes on the Resumes page, including individually deleting library resumes and separate saved Cici resume versions. You can export your account data and delete your account through Settings.

For access to or correction of information that cannot be managed through the available controls, or to request deletion of individual grades, associated Cici records, or tracked-job data, email info@cachetcareers.com. Deleting a grade also deletes its associated Cici interview records. These records do not currently have individual deletion controls in the Service.

Can I get a refund?

All sales are final. Subscription payments, top-ups and credit packs are nonrefundable, and canceling a subscription does not refund the current payment or any earlier payment. Credits you have already bought stay in your account and do not expire. This does not limit remedies the law gives you.

A purchase made before October 12, 2026, the day these Terms took effect, keeps the refund terms it was made under, on request by email; a purchase made on or after that day is final. Account deletion ends any subscription at once and removes any remaining credits; nothing is refunded.

The full rules are in Sections 8 and 11 of our Terms of Service.

What if a grade fails?

If a technical failure in our Service prevents delivery of a grade or rewrite after credits are deducted, we restore the credits used. Failed grading actions are designed to trigger automatic restoration. If credits are not restored, including after a failed rewrite, contact us so we can correct the balance.

Is payment secure?

Stripe processes payments through hosted Checkout; we do not receive or store your full payment card number.

The seller is named in Section 6 of our Terms of Service.

Does a high score guarantee an interview?

No. Cachet does not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, salary increases, or any particular score.

This is Cachet's assessment of how the information in your resume matches this job description. It is not an employer's score or a probability of getting hired. Potential scores depend on truthful evidence you can provide. Review AI suggestions for accuracy before using them.

Can employers use Cachet to screen candidates?

No. Do not use Cachet to rank, screen, or make hiring or other employment decisions about other people. Employer-facing use requires a separate agreement and compliance assessment.
