Cachet Careers — Privacy Policy

What We Collect

• Account information: your email address and authentication details.
• Resume content: the resumes you upload or paste, including any personal information they contain (name, contact details, work history).
• Job descriptions: the JD text you paste in for grading.
• Grading data: the scores, rubrics, and suggestions generated from your resumes and job descriptions.
• Usage data: basic activity like when you grade a resume and which features you use, so we can operate and improve the Service.

How We Use It

• To provide the core Service: storing your resumes, generating rubrics, and scoring your resumes against job descriptions.
• To operate and maintain the Service, including troubleshooting and monitoring for abuse.
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service.

We do not sell your personal information or resume content to third parties.

Third Parties We Use

To provide the Service, your resume and job description content is sent to Anthropic (Claude API) for AI processing (rubric generation and scoring). Your account and resume data is stored using Supabase and Lovable Cloud infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own data handling terms.

Data Retention

We retain your account and resume data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual resumes or your entire account at any time; deleted data is removed from active systems, though some backups may persist for a limited period before being purged.

Free Cachet 100 reports and surveys

If you ask for a free Cachet 100 report, you give us your name, your email address, a link to a job posting (and, if you choose, the job description), and your resume file. You may also choose to answer a short, optional survey about the jobs you are looking for: job titles, industry, general location, whether you are open to relocating, and whether you prefer remote, hybrid or in-office work.

We use this information to create your report, to contact you about it, to understand what job seekers need, and to improve Cachet Careers. Your resume and the job are read by us and processed by artificial intelligence service providers we use to analyze them in order to produce your report.

We keep your submission, your resume file and your report for about 60 days, then we delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. To ask for deletion, email info@cachetcareers.com. If you create a Cachet Careers account with the same email address, your report may be added to your account, and your account is then covered by the rest of this policy.

With your separate permission only, we may use your results anonymously in aggregate research, or share your results publicly after you approve them. You can say no to both and still receive your report. We do not sell your personal information. This free offer is for adults in the United States.

Your Choices

You can access, update, or delete your stored resumes and account data at any time through the Service. You can download your data, or delete your account and data, in Settings, or email info@cachetcareers.com.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including access controls that prevent other users from viewing your resumes or results. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information you provide.

Children's Privacy

This Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Cookies and Similar Technology

We may use basic cookies or local storage to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use these for third-party advertising.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
