Cachet Careers — Terms of Service

Last updated: September 16, 2026

This is a previous version, kept for reference. It is no longer in effect. Read the current Terms of Service.

This is a beta product. These terms are a placeholder set of ground rules, not a substitute for professional legal advice, and will be updated as the product matures.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Cachet Careers ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

Who Can Use This

You must be at least 18 years old to use Cachet Careers. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement.

What This Service Does

Cachet Careers lets you store resumes and grade them against job descriptions using an AI-generated scoring rubric. The Service provides suggestions to help you identify and address gaps between your resume and a specific job posting.

Beta Status — No Guarantees

This Service is in active beta. Features, scoring logic, and pricing may change at any time without notice. The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

AI-Generated Content Is Not Guaranteed Accurate

Scores, gap analyses, and suggested resume edits are generated by AI and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding whether to use any suggestion. You agree not to add anything to your resume that isn't true, and Cachet Careers is not responsible for the accuracy of your resume content or the outcome of any job application, interview, or hiring decision.

No Guarantee of Employment Outcomes

Using this Service does not guarantee an interview, a job offer, or any particular employment outcome. Cachet Careers is a tool to help you identify gaps between your resume and a job description — nothing more.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the resumes, job descriptions, and any other content you upload or paste into the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant Cachet Careers a limited license to store, process, and analyze it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell Your Content or use it to train models without your separate, explicit consent.

Account Responsibilities

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • upload resumes or personal information belonging to someone else without their consent;
  • attempt to abuse, overload, or reverse engineer the Service;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose; or
  • attempt to circumvent usage limits through automated means.

Free Tier and Usage Limits

The Service currently offers a limited number of free grades per account. Usage limits, pricing, and available features may change as the Service develops. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, including for violation of these terms, at our discretion, particularly during this beta period.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cachet Careers and its founder are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost job opportunities, lost income, or damages related to reliance on AI-generated suggestions.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated as the Service evolves. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
